Nocturnal Animals

About this Event
Emerging Adelaide Alternative three-piece, Nocturnal Animals, are unique in nature with their sights firmly set on growing “till we’re on top of the world.”
With two singles already under their belts, their third, titled “LHW” was released on August 29.
The track is short and sweet but it packs a punch. The song is about forces of attraction between you and someone you meet, the instant and magnetic interaction you have that subsequently falls apart.
“I think most people at one point have felt a fire of attraction towards someone and had it backfire on them, so I think listeners will resonate with this song through their own experiences”.
Nocturnal Animals – featuring Stuart Watkins, Brandon Johnson and Dylan Martin – aren’t your average alternative trio. No one member specifically leads a charge to a certain role in the band. “We mix it up when we play so that the dynamics of the group change from song to song. It keeps us different; it keeps us interesting.”
Forming in 2019 from the ashes of two previous bands: Baja Bleeders and Chasing Claire, they bleed with motivation and determination as a solid DIY band.
The three “skeleton boys”, as they proclaim themselves, debuted to the music world in February 2020 with first single “Rocket Girls” and followed up with “Cold and Blue” in June 2020 with a growing fan base likening them to hints of Nirvana and described as “legendary stuff”.
As with many a twenty-something, the trio have a shared interest in partying… maybe too much as they ascertain. So creating a guise that meshes their “Nocturnal” instinct usually characterised in animal behaviour by being active during the night and sleeping during the day; and the “Animal” that comes from the frequent, often wild, partying – it’s a blend that they and their posse relate to.
All of this is leading to their first full-length album which they hope to drop in 2021. “We have found purpose, there is a burst of flame under our hearts that has ignited our love for this band and what we can present to the world.”
