Join us at Cardea for a spectacular evening of music and storytelling.

Nikki Nouveau, an Australian-born singer, songwriter, and producer, will take you on a mesmerising journey through the life and music of the legendary Parisian artist, Edith Piaf.

In this captivating show, delivered in both French and English, Nikki will perform classic Piaf numbers such as "Padam," "La Vie En Rose," and "Non Je Ne Regrette Rien," along with other timeless pieces. "No Regrets" eloquently weaves a tale of passion, tragedy, and triumph, tracing Piaf's rise from singing on street corners to becoming the toast of Paris and New York, and ultimately her tragic untimely death.

Nikki Nouveau is a multilingual artist, fluent in Greek, French, and English, who has consistently toured with her own productions throughout Australia and internationally over the past ten years. She was nominated as a finalist for the 2023 Australian Women In Music Awards in the Live Creative Production Category. Her musical style incorporates jazz, cabaret, contemporary, and musical theatre, and her long-running hit show "No Regrets: The Edith Piaf Story" continues to draw great acclaim.

Accompanied by Andrew Scott on piano and accordion, and Max Alduca on double bass, Nikki Nouveau's performance promises to be an enchanting and unforgettable experience. Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Edith Piaf and French-themed entertainment.

Reviews:

“Nouveau in full voice is mesmerising and her phrasing between singing and narrating isflawless. Kabaret Dietrich is rich in satire and sophisticated sexuality. The sixty-minutecabaret finished too soon and opening night patrons found themselves crying out for more.Nikki Nouveau is the epitome of class and reinvention.”

Theatre People

"Nouveau demonstrated the very best of cabaret with style and grace... She commandedboth French and English perfectly to share her well-crafted story about her French idol.”

Cabaret Scenes Magazine, NYC

“At times sexy, soulful, flirtatious or just simply hot, Nikki sang and reminisced the story of France’s Little Sparrow. Accompanied by musicians on accordion, piano and violin, Nikki weaves French and English narration in between the timeless beauty and emotion of Piaf’s songs. An exceedingly enjoyable evening out”
– Theatre Now

“Nouveau’s vocal ability is extraordinary; simultaneously delicate and passionate. Deliveringin French and English, she had the audience captivated from start to finish”

Crystal Corocher, Arts Journalist

“An authentic musical experience which drips with talent and skill”

Alt Media

“Sexy, fun, a little decadent and nicely polished. Nouveau takes us on a tour of classic songsof love and heartbreak from greats such as Brel and Piaf, and sings them with aplomb andsufficient melodrama. Her numbers are solid and entertaining, and the interludes ofbombastic shadow-play costume changes were right on the money”

Arts Hub

“Nouveau’s performance was masterful, pulling off complicated choreography (in heels!)and challenging songs with ease and flair”

On Dit Newspaper

“Glamour and intensity”
