The City of Stirling and WA Comedy are searching for WA’s best new comedian.
The event to decide this, Next Gen Comedy is based on audience vote, meaning we’re leaving it up to the people to decide who is the best in the West.

THE PRIZE?
· $1500 inc GST Prize money on behalf of the City of Stirling to help you with your comedy career and professional development
· A $150 inc GST 5-minute showcase spot at a future WA Comedy All-Stars show alongside Western Australia’s finest Stand-up Comedians.
· Promotional photography and written comedy bio.
· Mentoring by WA Comedy
WHERE AND WHEN?
Next Gen Comedy is staged exclusively within the City of Stirling at community focused venues.
HEAT 2 – 8.30PM SATURDAY JULY 6 @ MOUNT LAWLEY BOWLING CLUB
Lydia Evans, Tommy Lee, Jetro Gainza, Martin Darcey, Matt Williams, Chris Pucillo, Sophie Sanderson
Two comedians from each heat will be voted by the audience to go through to the Grand Final. Wildcards will also be issued for the Grand final.
The Grand Final will be held at Stirling Leisure Centres – Hamersley on Saturday July 20 at 7pm. Hosted by Next Gen 2016 Comedy Winner Joe White.
*All venues are fully licensed. 18 + only
WHAT MAKES NEXT GEN COMEDY UNIQUE?
It’s based on audience voting and not by industry judges.
All Next Gen participants receive a $50 inc GST performance fee for heats and Grand Final (if they are selected). Similar events do not pay participants a performance fee.
