About this event

Welcome to the world of hyperrealism. Bluethumb is proud to present Neon + Noir, showcasing the most recognisable visual themes by partners in life and art, Jim Thalassoudis and Dianne Gall.

Adelaide-based and internationally collected, both Jim and Dianne garner a cult following of fans hungry to snap up their latest works before brush first strikes canvas.

Neon + Noir marks a rare opportunity to meet the artists and purchase archival quality, limited edition prints by Jim and Dianne. Exclusive to Bluethumb, without the waitlists. We'd love to see you there.

JIM THALASSOUDIS

Deeply considered homages to the majesty of the sky, Jim’s artworks focus on the neon-filled lights that point and snake their way through our cityscapes.

Jim has over four decades of exhibition history, both nationally and internationally. His artworks are held in major private, corporate and public collections.

Each highly detailed, hyperreal, original artwork can take many months to paint. The archival quality prints on offer feature Jim’s signature imagery - Little Audrey (Melbourne’s famous Skipping Girl), ethereal cloudscapes, and the majestic Regal crowns. As well as the cutting edge and interactive Augmented Reality (AR) spinning love hearts.

DIANNE GALL

Representative of the moody film noir cinematic style, Dianne’s artworks capture moments in time, anticipating events yet to unfold within scenes of exquisite detail.

Dianne’s artworks are widely exhibited and held across Australia and internationally, with a particular focus in the USA including a place in the prestigious Bennett Art Collection of realist paintings of women by women artists.

The archival quality prints on offer feature Dianne’s distinctive figurative themes. Women stare into space or look out into the nightscape, surrounded by rich interiors, patterned floors and marbled walls. Their private lives often dazzled by the moonlight or city lights.
