Nature Journaling: From Shore to Scrub

Join renowned natural history illustrator Henrietta Mooney for an immersive workshop set among both the bush and the sea. Begin with a walk along the beach, then settle in to capture its beauty through sketches. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, this hands-on experience will deepen your connection to nature and sharpen your creative eye.

Materials for journaling are included in this workshop, but please feel free to bring own sketchbook and medium if you would prefer.

Please bring a mat, towel, cushion, or someting comfy to sit on (but also easy to carry).

This workshop will involve venturing along the beach and into the bush. It is aproximately 2km return, on uneven and variable terrain. Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain, and be aware that there may potentially be slippery ground, as well as inclines and declines.

Important participant requirements:

- This event is for people aged 10+ years.

- Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

- All attendees require a ticket (ie parents and children)

-All participants MUST wear protective clothing, hat, sunscreen and enclosed nonslip shoes (no Crocs or thongs).

- Bring water and snacks, but please note that all rubbish must be carried out with you.

- No toilets are located at meeting site, so please allow time to stop beforehand at the Catherine Hill Beach Surf Club if needed.
