About this event

Carolyn Cadman (SWW Director of Natural Resources) would like to invite you to attend a drop-in session to discuss the Natural Catchment Management Plan being developed for the St Agnes & Trevaunance Streams on Friday 26th April 2024, 1-5pm.

Water quality at beaches and rivers across the region is impacted by pollution from a number of sources, including agriculture, industry, urbanisation and the operational activities of South West Water.

SWW are undertaking a programme of bespoke, evidence based “Natural Catchment Management Plans” (NCMPs) at selected catchments in Devon and Cornwall by June 2024, to create a blueprint to be rolled out for all bathing water catchments by March 2025. The NCMPs will be based on evidence and an assessment of potential risks to water quality within each catchment area. The review will be used as a basis for engaging local stakeholders, partners, landowners and land managers to identify actions and opportunities for local collaboration.

During this drop-in event, which has been planned following dicsussions with St Agnes Parish Council and Cornwall Councillor Pete Mitchell, you will be able to find out about the NCMP we are developing for the St Agnes catchment, and meet and question some of the key SWW people delivering this programme of work. The session will run from 1-5pm with a short summary presentation (20 mins) repeated at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

All local stakeholders are welcome to attend, however you will need to register in order to gain access to the event.

We look forward to meeting with you in St Agnes on 26th April...!
