Mystopia – the fabulous Burning Man camp for heteros, homos, lesbos and don’t-knows – is having a San Francisco-style Burner dance party on Oxford Street: BURN WINTER!

Join the Austopians to raise funds – and raise the roof – across two floors of The Burdekin, featuring some of your favourite DJ’s from Mystopia, Camp Peachy, the Glamcocks and Trap Island.

It wouldn’t be a Burner party if we didn’t turn some lewks. Our BURN WINTER theme is “Fire & Ice” – don your favourite faux fur, winter eleganza or Burning Man drag (Google ‘Burning Man outfits’ for inspo) and come shiver and sweat in our two themed spaces.


First release tickets are on sale now, so be quick! A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to a local charity we love: Black Rainbow.


Dressing up is optional but a good attitude isn’t. Mystopia is a welcoming camp. This is a Burning Man party for everyone. Our goal is to build inclusive communities through dance, music and art performances. As such, we do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism or any other form of discrimination or shaming.

Burdekin Hotel

The Burdekin Hotel is a heritage-listed, multi-level venue on the corner of Oxford Street. An iconic building and popular destination on weeknights and weekends, it hosts everything from live gigs, to music events (techno, house, metal, dnb, emo, acoustic, indiepunk and everything in-between), to trivia , bingo, dungeons and dragons game nights, and more. In 2020, it opened its beautiful panoramic rooftop, where it hosts drag brunch every Sunday. Open six days a week, the Burdekin Hotel is an inclusive space for entertainment, private bookings, delicious food and drink, and good times. Its rooms are available for functions of all kinds, with free hire and minimum spend.
