Hi there, I'm Sara

It’s my belief that much of yoga and breath work in the west has evolved to mirror the problems we experience in modern society. It promotes disconnection by encouraging extreme and fast movements and poses that can seem intimidating. It gives rise to stress and competition through a focus on perfect alignment, fast breathing and pushing towards goals that can often end in injury and pain. Probably without meaning to we have created a practice far removed from what the true essence of yoga is really about.

Yoga to me is first and foremost a practice in kindness – kindness towards yourself and towards all beings. Of course, it’s also about slowing down, smiling, breathing, connecting, being present, finding space, moving and stretching our bodies with awareness and learning how to respond rather than react. How I like instruct yoga is by guiding you through a gentle practice using the slow flow of your breath to set the pace of your movements, it’s a meditation in motion.

I also have further specialist training in Pre-Natal Yoga and Prenatal and Baby Massage/yoga. I also love, love, love essential oils and use them in most of my treatments and classes.
