Join Dr. Michael Underdown, an experienced maritime and port lawyer and senior research fellow at the Cairns Institute at James Cook University, for an engaging presentation on Maritime and Port Law. Despite Cairns' seemingly remote location, this presentation promises to be anything but dull. Delve into riveting topics such as ship arrest, piracy, and hot pursuit within the context of maritime law. Discover how these intriguing aspects of maritime law intersect with the bustling activities of Cairns, a port with a cruise terminal, a RAN patrol boat base, and various port industries. Dr. Underdown will navigate through legal complexities with his many years of expertise making this presentation both informative and entertaining. Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your knowledge of this often overlooked area of the law.
