Discover the art of crafting your own electric guitar in this 8-week course suitable for both beginners and experienced woodworkers. Guided by an experienced guitar maker, you’ll use a combination of hand and power tools to create your instrument from scratch. It’s a practical, hands-on experience focused on bringing your vision to life. Join us for a comprehensive journey into the world of guitar making.

This course will span eight weeks, with each week consisting of a five hour fully guided session with our experienced guitar maker, plus the opportunity for students to attend additional semi-supervised sessions between each class. (The listed date for this course, Sunday 12th May, is the first session of the course, and sessions will run each Sunday on the same schedule for the duration of the course.)

All tools are provided. A base material of reclaimed pine is provided, however participants do have the option to purchase more exotic timbers from us or to bring their own materials. You will be contacted after your booking to confirm which material option you would prefer.

A limited number of concession-discounted tickets are available to those who either possess a current Services Australia Health Care Card (including Pensioner Concession Cards but not Commonwealth Seniors Health Cards), or who are a full-time student who is age 18 or older. You will be asked to provide proof of concession eligibility after purchase of a concession ticket, and please note that a service fee will apply to any cancellations resulting from a failure to provide proof of eligibility when requested.

Participants under the age of 16 must have parental supervision. Minimum participant age is 14 years.
