Join Bernard Ollis OAM and curator Jasmine Kean in conversation about his exhibition ‘Snakes and Ladders’, a culmination of alternative narratives on his practice spanning over 40 years.

Ollis is an artist who works in both Sydney and Paris and was the Director of the National Art School in Sydney for a decade. He has held over 80 solo exhibitions, with this exhibition being the first staged in a regional gallery. Snakes and Ladders continues from 8 June – 4 August 2024 at the Museum of Art and Culture yapang.

Snakes and Ladders

This survey exhibition by Bernard Ollis OAM encompasses his entire oeuvre, with works ranging from 1973 - now. Within these works Ollis paints the imagined world that he inhabits, almost in secret. A world of fears and psychological threats, of Other Spaces.
