Are you moving to Australia on a Working Holiday? Want to make friends before you arrive? Curious about what to do before your move Down Under and how to prepare yourself when you do?

Come along to our London Meetup and Information Afternoon on Saturday 29th June!

Our Meetup and Information Afternoon will include:

⭐️ Making friends with girls also heading to Australia on a Working Holiday including an Friendmaking Activity!

⭐️ A presentation about everything Working Holiday. Let’s ease those nerves about moving over! Some of the topics we will cover will be what you need to do before you arrive, what to expect from your first few weeks and how to make friends!

⭐️ Q&A session with Bonnie(Founder of Sydney Working Holiday Girls), Maddie (Melbourne Working Holiday Girls Event Coordinator) and other Working Holiday Hosts that have experienced a Working Holiday in Australia. Get to ask questions from girls that have experienced a Working Holiday!

⭐️ A private room just for us girls with selected deals included 241 spirits and coronas and 25% off the entire food menu.

⭐️ Ending the afternoon with a classic Backpacker Favourite … Beer Pong with your new friends (and practicing those skills to take Down Under with you 😉🩷)

When? Saturday 29th June @ 12pm

Where? Belushis, 161-165 Borough High St, London, SE1 1HR

What Time? 12pm - 4.30pm

How much? £20 + Eventbrite Booking Fee

How the meetup will run:

⭐️ 5 days before the event, a group-chat will be created using your Instagram handle provided for you to start chatting to the other girls attending the London Meetup! Find girls you can travel in with or introduce yourself ready for Saturday.

On The Day:

⭐️ 12pm-12.30pm:

When you arrive, head to the Guinness Room which is the private room for us girls! You’ll be met by one of our Working Holiday Girls representatives that will give you a name badge, help introduce you to other girls and making new travel friends!! 🙌🏻

⭐️ 12.30pm-1.30pm:

We’ll be kicking off with a friendmaking activity at 12.45pm to help you make friends with everyone that has come to the meet 🩷

⭐️ 1.30pm-3.30pm:

Working Holiday Presentation! This presentation will go through everything you’ll want to do before you arrive in Australia, what to expect from your first few weeks and more about Sydney Working Holiday Girls.

⭐️ 3.30pm-4pm:

Q&A session! This is your chance to ask any of our Sydney Working Holiday Girls hosts questions you may have about a Working Holiday in Australia! You can pre-ask questions when you book and on the day you’ll get an opportunity to write your question for us to answer!

⭐️ 4pm onwards:

Now you are all clued up on your Working Holiday and have new friends to start your adventure with, time to party haha! We’ll get the Beer Pong and drinks going!

⭐️ After the meetup up:

We’ll send you an email with the presentation from the day and also information on all of our meetups and events! You’ll also have a group-chat with everyone’s Instagrams to continue your friendships … whether that’s meeting up again in the UK or on the other side of the world 👀

⭐️ I’m coming alone, is that okay?

Of COURSE! We are all girls supporting girls all making the same adventure to the other side of the world. Everyone that is coming, is coming to make friends and gain advice! The Majority of our meetups in Australia have SOLO girls attending! If you’re still worried, we will also be making a group-chat 5 days before the event, so you can start chatting to girls coming! On the day you’ll get a name tag and we will play a Friendmaking Activity to help you mingle with everyone.

- What to do before you get to Australia (Insurance, Flights, what to worry about and what not to worry about!)

- How to set yourself up in your first few weeks in Australia including bank accounts, TFN’s, accommodation

- More about Working Holiday Girls and how we can help you make friends Down Under!
