Frequently asked questions

What's an elevator pitch, and why do I need one?

Imagine you’re in an elevator with your dream client or collaborator, and you've got just 30-60 seconds to spark their interest in your service—That's your elevator pitch! It’s your chance to shine briefly and brightly, so rehearsing is key. Think of it as Twitter for real life: keep it short, swee

How long should my elevator pitch be?

Aim for 30-60 seconds. It's about quality, not quantity. Like a good espresso shot, it should be strong, effective, and leave you wanting more. Practice timing yourself to ensure you hit that sweet spot between informative and concise.

Can I bring promotional materials to the networking event?

Absolutely! Business cards, flyers, and even small tokens or samples related to your service are welcome. They're great conversation starters and help people remember you after the event.

What should I do if I'm interested in offering a prize for the event?

We love your spirit of generosity! Please contact Jase directly to discuss your prize idea. It's a fantastic way to showcase your business and contribute to the event's fun atmosphere.

What's the secret sauce to memorable business cards?

In the sea of business cards, make yours the treasure chest! Not just your name & title, include a clear statement or bullet points about the services you offer. Let your card echo your passion and purpose. It's not just about handing out cards; it's about leaving a lasting impression.

I'm a bit nervous about networking. Any tips?

You're not alone! Networking can seem daunting, but it's really about making connections and finding common ground. A smile is your best business card, and genuine interest in others goes a long way. Come ready to listen and learn. 'Be Ted before Ting'
