Catherine Whitting has exhibited her work throughout Australia and New Zealand since 1992 in public exhibitions and competitions. Whitting employs an impasto style of painting in her artmaking, she weaves bold tactile colours with mixed media, such as newsprint and found objects in a three dimensional manner with fast sweeping motions. Her paintings are curated for her interiors, are emotive and executed with speed. These works are often are abstract recounts of detailed vignettes founds in nature from her experiences and travels to Europe and Asia.
