Life Drawing at MAP

Join professional artist and educator Andy Devine for an evening of drawing with a life model. Enhaance your exisiting observational drawing skills or learn new ones, while enjoying a glass wine, beer or soft drink with light refreshments during this friendly and structured life drawing workshop.

About the Tutor

Andy Devine has a master's degree in fine art from the University of Newcastle. Devine lectured at the University of Newcastle from 2007 until 2020. He currently teaches drawing, printmaking and is a lecturer in the degree program at Newcastle Art School (TAFE - Hunter Street Campus). His artwork is held in many collections including Newcastle Art Gallery, Maitland Art Gallery, Muswellbrook Art Gallery, Newcastle Club Foundation Art Collection and Manly Art Gallery

Cost: 35 + booking fee includes a life model, a glass of wine/beer/soft drink and all materials

Accessibility

MAP mima is wheelchair accessible and has flashing lights for performances. MAP mima amenities includes two all gender (one accessible RH transfer)

Parking

There is limited parking available at MAP mima near the Cockle Creek Boat Ramp, please ceck the signs carefully as a portion of the carpark is only available to boat trailers and is regularly enforced. Alternative parking is locate on Park Road, near Speers Point Pool. From there, it is a short walk down the promenade. There are 2 accessible carparks available at MAP mima.
