Frequently asked questions
Yes we do. We’ll send you a form requesting your dietaries and provide you with options in advance for your lunch. We give you time and you’re welcome to purchase your own morning tea at the Roma Sale Yards, while mixing in with the cattlemen and their agents.
This tour is easy paced and suits most ages and fitness levels. Mt Abundance is a natural landscape, so expect uneven ground with sometimes loose gravel and other times rocky areas. Good balance is recommended.
The entire mountain is under private property, so you can’t travel there independently. Plus you would miss out on all the great commentary and background information if travelling alone.
Snakes are only out and about in the warmer months. They tend to hear us coming and move away. We don’t try to catch any snakes on tour, taking joy in letting them continue on their merry way.
Toilets are available at the Roma Sale Yards (our morning tea spot). There is a small cabin (built by the owners) with a flushing toilet on the top of Mt Abundance that is also available for use.
