About the workshop:

You will be taken through the steps/process of how to create your very own Kokedama. Relax and connect with nature by wrapping the roots of a plant with soil, moss and twine. This art form started in Japan and has become a popular craft to learn in the western world. Your Kokedama will become a great addition to your home or shaded garden.

It has been said by some studies that having indoor plants has a calming affect on a person, and may help with reducing stress as well as being therapeutic. So this is the perfect craft to learn if you want to relax more and bring a little zen to your home.

You will be guided to construct and handbuild a clay base for your Kokedama using handbuilding skills and a mould. You will be able to decorate your base with underglaze and a texture.
