About this event

Finishing techniques are the single most asked about class, demystify it with Helen in a welcoming and inclusive workshop. In this class you will learn-

  • How to sew up your knitting
  • How to pick up stitches round a neckline
  • How to do a three needle cast off for the shoulder, including short row shaping.
  • How to block and press your work
  • Button holes.

And much more! This class is mainly based round a practical exercise so please bring needles and a ball of spare yarn, suggested Double knit and the needles you would use for this. Don’t worry if you haven’t any, or you forget, we’ve plenty in the studio. This class requires basic knitting skills. Full notes to take away provided

You will learn from experienced teacher Helen Chatterton in her accessible studio located in Summerhall. This class will have a maximum of 6 students and you will be provided with cake and drinks. There will be an hour for lunch from 1-2pm.
