Parish Councils & Parish Ministries
Fostering parishes to be welcoming communities of compassion and engagement.
What God is looking for in women and men is quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and take God seriously.” – Micah 6:8
Join us for Instruments of Love, a gathering tailored for those involved in the different areas of parish ministry. This event will delve into inclusive practices and the imperative of addressing the call to be instruments of love for those we serve. The day will also look closely at social justice issues, enriching the participants understanding of the Church’s mission to foster a fairer, more compassionate society, especially for those on the margins. With the insight and wisdom of keynote speaker Father Greg Boyle, SJ, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles and other local and national presenters, who have dedicated themselves to serving marginalised communities, parish teams will be inspired and motivated to be the heart and hands of Christ in their own parishes and beyond. Instruments of Love will provide an ideal opportunity for participants to engage with others, facilitating the sharing of ideas and resources for impactful ministry engagement. This will be no ordinary event , it will be an encounter with a Church on the streets – on the margins – a field hospital.
