COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

Join us in our collaborative art project to celebrate International Day of People with Disability or just trying different art techniques each week.

Thursdays from 11 April to 27 June 2024

10am to 12 noon

Museum of Art and Culture (MAC), yapang, Booragul

Each week a different art technique such as using watercolour, acrylic paint, simple print making or assemblage art will be explored. This will give people an opportunity to experiment and establish their preferred art techniques and allow them to then express and tell their story through art. People have the option to also be a part of a community celebration and have their art included in a collaborative display of artworks that will go on exhibition at MAC to celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).

This collaborative artwork exhibition will showcase the combined unique talents and hard work of our local community leading up to International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).

The Museum of Art and Culture Lake Macquarie, yapang (MAC yapang) is an accessible venue which provides - accessible parking, ramp access and accessible unisex toilet.

Why not also bring a packed lunch and enjoy it in the sculpture park or eat at our art gallery café.
