Are you covered for the emergencies that might happen to you?

We are holding Home Insurance Workshops with Eastern Community Legal Centre. These free sessions help you investigate questions such as:

  • Is your insurance policy up to date?
  • Are you insured for the right amount?
  • What does your insurance policy not include?

The session will provide you with information that aims to reduce the risk of you coming up against legal problems or being denied insurance claims after an event.

What you should bring

Please bring your home and contents insurance policy documents for personal reference during the session. You will not be asked to share this information.

About the Facilitator

Ebony’s role at Eastern Community Legal Centre is Community Engagement Lead – Disaster Recovery and Climate Justice. This role involves working closely with communities at risk of climate change and disasters.

Ebony isn’t a lawyer, but it is likely that a member of her community law team will be joining her. Her background is in Community Development, Emergency and Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, where she has worked internationally on a range community resilience initiatives.

Eastern Community Legal Centre has offices across Melbourne’s East where they offer free legal advice. If ECLC isn’t able to assist with your enquiry, they will connect you with another specialist CLC or community organisation who will be able to assist you there.
