I am thrilled to unveil my latest collection at the 2024 Art Exhibition in Melbourne, Victoria for the FIRST TIME EVER.
I have poured my heart and soul into crafting new artworks over the past 12 months. Drawing from personal and public experiences, reflecting on the powerful journey of overcoming challenges, embracing one's identity, and using art as a medium for self-expression and healing. My work features stories from Papua New Guinea that are often untold, drawing from the experiences of others and myself including my dear mother.
Storytelling and creative expression have always been at the core of my life. I invite all the Papua New Guineans in Victoria, who can make it, to come along and explore never-before-seen artwork and encourages you share your own stories without fear or judgment. This exhibition serves as a safe space for discussing struggles and finding strength in vulnerability.
I encourage each of you willing to attend to bring a friend along, a friend of PNG or anyone that can learn something about PNG through our art and stories. There will be a Q&A session on the night where we get to discuss a bit more in detail.
