Arc UNSW has teamed up with MediBank to offer UNSW International Students some great experiences to get out and see Sydney while staying fit and making new friends!
Come experience the beautiful scenery Sydney Harbour doing the wonderful Spit to Manly Hike! While this trip is usually priced at $70+, Global Sport is offering this NEVER BEFORE DONE opportunity for only $20! This includes one wat transport, lunch and a guided tour of the amazing natural wonder of the Sydney Harbour, including hidden beaches . This hike is should be about 10km long, so plenty of time to soak in the scenery and take lots of pictures.
We are running this trip two times this term:
- Saturday 1st June
- Saturday 27 July
Please keep in mind that the date that is written on your ticket type is the date you have purchased for! If you have a ticket for the wrong day and attend you will not be allowed on the bus!
We will be meeting at UNSW Gate 14 on Barker Street where the bus will be located and from there we will depart! Once we reach Manly students will take in the scenery and a swim then make their own way back from Manly (super quick ferry to Circular Quay)
What you need to know:
- The hike is approximately 8-10km, or about 3-4 hours walking time, including plenty of time to stop at some lovely viewing locations.
- This hike is run by EmuTrekkers, which is a not-for-profit, so all the proceeds go towards disadvantaged children. Find out more about the organisation here: https://www.emutrekkers.org/.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Sturdy shoes for walking (they will get dirty)
- A backpack
- At least 2L water
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Rain jacket/umbrella
- Warm jacket/fleece
- Swimming Attire - for a potential swim at Manly
- Snacks
