Jane from Mrs Baker's Still House and Claire from Rupanyup Living are collaborating to bring a Gin Blending Masterclass to Rupanyup, Victora!
GIN BLENDING MASTERCLASS
Grab one of your nearest-and-dearest and book yourselves in for a lovely day of gin! Hosted in Claire's gorgeous shop 'Rupanyup Living - The Kitchen' in the main street of the iconic country town, Rupanyup. Get hands-on as you learn about gin botanicals, explore the flavour components harnessed by distillation and be guided through tasting up to 15 individual distillations (such as juniper, citrus, coffee, and pepperberry) and then deciding upon your own signature gin.
Jane (owner, founder, botanist), will guide you through the blending process as you harness the scientist within, using beakers and test-tubes to blend your own gin and bottle it into one of Mrs Baker’s elegant apothecary-style bottles. Enjoy the playful and relaxed atomosphere as you put your new botanical knowledge to work and make a gin unique to you.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- Blend your own 200mL bottle of gin (that you take home with you)
- Custom label it with a fancy name of your choosing! (prize to the funkiest name!)
- A record of your 'signature blend' recipe.
- A wonderfully illustrated booklet with botanical insights to take home with you.
- 1 x Gin and Tonic (made with your gin!) to enjoy after class.
LOCATION
'Rupanyup Living' in Rupanyup, Victoria.
There will be coffees, delicious treats (including Claire's amazing Chickpea Brownies), beautiful homewares and local products will also be avaible for purchase in the shop on the day.
SESSION TIMES
We will be running an afternoon session from 1:30pm - 3:30pm, capacity of 8 people.
Once the afternoon session sells out we will open bookings for a morning session from 10:30am - 12:30pm.
