Join us to celebrate the achievements of women, with a morning tea on the 8th of March in the Bedford Park Plaza featuring guest speaker and Flinders University Early Career Alumni Awardee Rikki Cooke , CEO and Founder of Treasure Boxes
The theme for International Women's Day 2024 is Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress. Women’s economic empowerment is central to a gender-equal world. When women are given equal opportunities to earn, learn and lead – entire communities thrive.
At the event you will have the opportunity to help women reach their potential by donating to the University’s Jessie Cooper Scholarship for Women. The scholarship honours the first woman elected to State Parliament and provides financial assistance to mature-age women who face financial or personal circumstances that prevent them from completing their degree.
We also invite guests to bring along an item from the Treasure Boxs' monthly wishlist to donate on the day.
Date: Friday 8th March 2024
Time: 10:15am, for 10:30am start
