About this event

Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this interactive workshop. Facilitators will focus on major trauma patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings.

Participants will receive a statement of attendance for 2.75 hours of CPD for self-recording.

Learning outcomes:

1. Undertake a systematic primary assessment to detect and manage life threats in cases of major trauma

2. Undertake a secondary assessment to avoid missing injuries

3. Appropriately refer a major trauma patient for definitive care
