About this event

Effective teaming: A mindful approach to leading teams

This conversation is for individual contributors.

Individual contributors are people not yet in traditional leadership positions who make a direct and immediate difference to the agency. The work is largely operational, often at the frontline and in a defined area of responsibility with personal accountability for delivering excellence.

Effective teaming: A mindful approach to leading teams

When it comes to optimal team performance, who is on the team matters less than how the team works together.

Behavioural science, neuroscience and corporate research support this understanding of ‘effective teaming’ and now it’s time to learn the individual skill of teaming: the ability to be an effectively contributing member of a team.

This conversation digs into the 4 essential aspects of team dynamics – belonging, inclusion, trust and psychological safety. Facilitator Cathryn Urquhart shows you how to strengthen your individual contribution to building a high performing team.

In this interactive online workshop you’ll:

  • review the concept of effective teaming, the supporting research and neuroscience behind it
  • learn about the 4 components that help build high performing teams
  • explore the value of diverse perspectives and talents
  • increase your own self awareness and learn key practices to integrate into your daily work.

Conversation facilitator: Cathryn Urquhart, SIY Global
