Focus Topic: Not Just Numbers Screening and Discussion

Join us on National Reconciliation Week as we screen ‘Not Just Numbers’.

Not Just Numbers (Brindle Films) is an inspirational one-hour documentary about the Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group. They believe in talking straight about the violence in their communities and are working on the front line in prevention, an area that receives very little funding or support. So often reduced to statistics, these heroes have banded together to fight for their lives and the lives of their families. They want to be seen, not just counted.

Following the screening we will engage in a discussion facilitated by Nicole Talarico around the themes, wonderings and actions that develop through our thinking and reflections. A key focus will be exploring and understanding the connection between ECEC and gendered violence.

Please note: Under ECA Victorian Branch’s Special Interest Groups Policy members of a SIG must be either individual or organisational members of Early Childhood Australia. Attendees are welcome to attend one forum as a non-member; thereafter membership (either individual or organisation) is required.
