All visitors must wear long sleeves and pants, as well as flat, sturdy and enclosed footwear for this event (for example, joggers).

What activities and events are planned for the community open day?

Visitors will be taken on a guided tour of the precast factory to designated stops that show the concrete segment manufacturing process. Children's activities, including face painting, will be available. Visitors can also visit the Sydney Metro Mobile Community Information Centre.

What will I see in the precast factory?

Visitors will be taken on a guided tour of the precast factory, where they will learn about the segment production process. Tour stops will include the curing chamber, casting and finishing station, demoulding station, pre-storage and segment stacking station and segment stockyard.

Is the event suitable for children?

Children and families are welcome to attend. The tour is child-friendly, and there will be entertainment for children. All children under 18 years of age should be always accompanied by an adult at the event.

Our specialist Construction, Engineering, Precast Facility, and Environmental teams will be available on the day to answer any questions. Visitors can also talk to the Sydney Metro team at the Mobile Community Information Centre and view interactive displays.

Yes. This event is accessible with step-free entry and a continuous travel path throughout the guided tour.
