Delirium and Dementia

Wednesday, 29th May, 2024, 9.30am to 12.30pm at ERH's Education Centre Hall

This program will help you recognise delirium symptoms in someone who is living with dementia. Learn about possible causes, recovery and prevention strategies. People with dementia have five times the risk of developing delirium. If untreated, it can increase the risk of longer hospital stays, complications, cognitive and functional decline and also mortality.

You will gain knowledge in:

• Signs, symptoms, risks and causes of delirium.

• The relationship between delirium and dementia.

• Helpful strategies to prevent and manage delirium.
