About this event

When you join us for this event you are warmly welcomed to engage in:

  • A 1 hour workshop with Michelle Niehuus. The evening will provide early childhood professionals with information that supports understanding of big behaviours, positive connection, reducing the chaos frustration and exhaustion that results from engaging with children that are using big behaviours to communicate their needs.
  • There will be opportunity to discuss and ponder strategies that support educators to reflect on and decode the messages that children maybe attempting to communicate through their behaviours. What it looks like and feels like to be with children in the moment and while keeping everyone (including educators) safe.
  • A guided tour of Goodstart Evanston Park and how the team embed these practices in the centre.

Participants are welcome to explore our environments, network and chat for the remainder of the session. Centre Director Olivia and Michelle will be available for conversations with participants during this time.
