ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

CAMERON GLEESON

Executive Director - Betashares Senior Investment Strategist

Cameron’s responsibilities span supporting all distribution channels, assisting clients with portfolio construction across all asset classes, and working alongside the portfolio management team. Cameron is a voting member of the Betashares Investment Committee. Prior to joining BetaShares, Cameron was a portfolio manager at Macquarie Asset Management, and was responsible for the structuring and management of Macquarie’s listed and unlisted structured product offering. Cameron’s other experience includes Head of Product at Bell Potter Capital, working on JP Morgan’s Equity Derivatives desk and at Deloitte Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Commerce (Hons) from the University of New South Wales.


CHRIS YATES

NSW State Manager – Adviser Business

Chris helps develop and manage the strategy, execution, and distribution of Betashares unique funds and managed accounts across NSW & ACT. He works closely with asset consultants, dealer groups, licensees, and financial planners to establish and maintain successful investment strategies and outcomes for their clients. Chris has an in-depth background in portfolio construction, asset allocation, equities, fixed income, the adviser landscape, and financial markets. Prior to Betashares Chris work for Leveraged Equites in a distribution role and at Macquarie Bank as a Private Wealth Adviser. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Canterbury University (Christchurch – New Zealand).


LOUISE BITI

Louise has 20 years of experience in financial services and is well respected across the industry. She is the co-founder and Director of Aged Care Steps.

Her experience and background is in providing technical and strategy support on legislative matters to financial advisers, accountants and lawyers. This has involved a focus on the practical implications for clients and the creation of financial planning strategies.

Her career started in a community organisation providing information and education about investments to people applying for government income support. But she has also held roles as the Executive Manager – Adviser Solutions for Suncorp (Asteron) Wealth Management and Head of Research and Technical with ING’s aligned dealer groups.

She has a Masters of Taxation, a Bachelor of Economics, a Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) a Diploma of Financial Services. Louise has achieved Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) status, is an SMSF Specialist Advisor ™, a registered Tax (Financial) Adviser and is an FAAA Aged Care Specialist™.


DARREN LAUDENBACH

Darren is married to Rachelle and has two daughters Jess aged 26 and Amelia aged 24. After selling out of a successful financial planning practice in 2014 that he co-founded, Darren continued to invest in people and business. This includes running a business consulting and coaching agency as well as applying the skills and experience learned as a financial planner in running boutique real estate agency specialising in cash flow positive investment properties. In his spare time he is also a partner in a growing number of in a number of quick service restaurants, plays competition squash and is active in his church.


MICHELE PERRONE

Michele Perrone (also known as Michael), Italian Travel Bureau founder, has solid and deep roots in the Italian culture, born in Italy and moved to Australia in 1989

Michele has spent most of his life travelling within Italy and the rest of the world. With the Italian Travel Bureau and the Cruise Bureau he has devoted the last 30 years sharing his passion and knowledge of travelling with colleagues, friends and clients…

Through its growth and travel experiences, Michele designs holiday dreams for just about any destination in Italy and worldwide.

Withstanding the industry through the ‘old ‘and ‘new’ trends, has learned to tackle the challenges of a simple train booking to large groups of over 200 people. Skillful with fare constructions for individuals and corporate offices, and also very knowledgeable about many tour operators, cruises and destinations.

Having an excellent understanding of foreign cultures and the attractions they offer, including the many challenges these present for the tourists and visitors (particularly during these everchanging times), Michele can give to his clients the confidence that he can handle any situation.

The new office operates on appointment only, which can be either in person, over virtual arrangement or by phone and email, offering a more personal and dedicated service to his clients.
