About this event


Creative Digital Media Drop In Sessions this term will give you the skills and knowledge to create and host your own podcast. Participants will learn technical aspects of podcasting and critical communication skills like public speaking, storytelling, and interviewing. By the end of the workshop, you will have the necessary tools to plan, produce, and promote your own podcast.


About the Media Lab and Digital Tool collection

The Media Lab boasts a professional studio set up with a cyclorama wall, green screens, studio lights and Surface Studios with the full Adobe Creative Suite. The digital tool library contains cameras, recording equipment and other digital accessories that can be borrowed for free with your library membership.

About the facilitator and Shopfront Arts

Shopfront Arts stands as Sydney’s only cross-art form organisation led by and dedicated to the artistry of Young People. Their workshops are designed specifically for teenagers seeking to enhance their confidence, self-esteem, and social skills.

Equipment: Please bring your own USB so you can save your digital files each week.

• For participants under the age of 16, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.

• If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

• If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
