This workshop is designed to introduce participants to a variety of collage mediums to explore creatively and experimentally.
Learn to create painted and patterned papers and use a variety of other papers (photographic, text-based, plain colours etc) to create an illustrative image. It is designed to develop perceptual, imaginative and technical skills.
Explore, discover and experiment with all the demonstrated mediums.
In the first half of the workshop, be guided by Nettie through a series of fun, creative, visual exercises exploring the techniques of creating coloured patterned papers using acrylic mono printing, scraping, sponging etc. In the second half of the workshop, Nettie will work individually with each participant, providing demonstrations on how to create an artwork using the coloured papers you've made. This part of the workshop is tailored to your individual ideas and projects, ensuring that you have the opportunity to explore your creativity and produce unique and meaningful artwork.
