About the Stewardship Program

Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu's Stewardship Program supports large and small-scale landholders, First Nations, public land managers and local environmental volunteer with a range of activities and services including free advice and property visits, courses and field days, pathways to connect with local service providers, peers and mentors, and grant opportunities.

The program’s Stewardship Officers and resources help land managers achieve five key outcomes; understanding landholder responsibilities, creating a plan for managing natural assets, caring for native vegetation and undertaking revegetation, caring for watercourses, wetlands and farm dams, and caring for soils.

The Eastern Hills and Plains District Stewardship team which covers the council areas of Mt Barker and Alexandrina is looking to hear from you and your community to help support YOU to be the best steward you can be.
