Speaker - Liam Schubel- DC

Dr. Liam Schübel is the master of taking The Chiropractic message to mass media. He has been seen and heard by millions via radio, television, and the internet. He is one of Chiropractic’s first truly global ambassadors. He is co-author of the internationally acclaimed book Cast To Be Chiropractors, an inspirational story that illustrates two Chiropractors lifelong journey of passionate service to humanity through the practice of Chiropractic.

Dr. Schübel graduated in 1995 and grew his private practice to over 1000 visits per week within one year.

Dr. Liam Schübel currently owns and operates 28 Chiropractic offices. He employs 31 chiropractic associate doctors, 86 support staff members, and has trained over 150 Chiropractic associates.

He has mentored and coached Chiropractors from nearly every state in the United States and many countries around the world.

He is past President of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations, whose goal is to bring vertebral subluxation centered Chiropractic to the world.

Dr. Schübel served for 8 years on the board of Trustees for Sherman College of Chiropractic as Vice Chairman.

Speaker - Dr. Valen Basco - DC

Dr. Valen Basco, an enthusiastic chiropractor originally from Canada, is on a mission to promote the principles of chiropractic care and well-being. With a solid foundation from Life University and a strong dedication to the well-being of those under her care, Dr. Basco now practices in the charming town of Veldhoven, Netherlands.

Dr. Basco's passion for chiropractic care extends beyond clinical practice. She is a respected educator within the European Chiropractic Academy, where she shares her expertise with aspiring chiropractors. Dr. Basco's teaching enriches the next generation of healthcare professionals with valuable knowledge and practical skills.

In addition to her dedication to chiropractic care and education, Dr. Basco is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is a CACCP candidate. She is also a member of the DCF (Dutch Chiropractic Federation), ICA (International Chiropractors Association), and the J. Clay Thompson Foundation.

Speaker - Dr. Brian Dooley - DC

Dr. Brian Dooley is a 2005 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic. Upon graduation he won the Service Distinction Award, the BJ Palmer Philosophy Award and the Milton W. Garfunkel Award. He has served Sherman College as a lead instructor in Chiropractic Philosophy, Patient Education, Media Communications, Case History, and Terminology. Presently he serves Sherman College as the Dean of Clinics.

Dr Dooley has presented at many chiropractic events both nationally and internationally and is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers in 2007 & now serves as an ACP instructor. He also has presented modules at the Diplomate of Chiropractic Philosophical Standards.

Dr Dooley is a member of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations where he serves as treasurer on their board of directors. He is also a member of the Delta Sigman Chi fraternity. Of all that he has done in chiropractic he is probably most proud of the fact that in 2021 he watched his daughter Sara, a then 9th quarter student, make her first adjustment in the same building Dr Dooley made his first adjustment in 2003. Sara also adjusted her Dad in January 2022 for the first time in the same building her adjusted her for first time in 2004.

Speaker - Ankur Tayal - Chiropractor

Dr. Ankur Tayal is a Professor of Clinical Sciences at Sherman College of Chiropractic, where he teaches philosophy, business and technique. Prior to working at Sherman, Dr. Tayal served as the Principal (President) at Scotland College of Chiropractic, and also previously served as Chair of Chiropractic Philosophy and Technique at Life Chiropractic College West.

He graduated from Life West in 2009, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences with a Minor in Physics at Queen’s University, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He was the co-owner and operator of a NUCCA practice called UC Life Chiropractic Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for 5 years while also completing his MBA in Entrepreneurship and International Business at the University of Victoria. Dr. Tayal earned his ACP through Sherman in 2018.

He has served as President of Life West Alumni Board and was named International Alumni of the Year in 2016. He has also served as President of the Delta Sigma Chi Professional Chiropractic Fraternity and was Alumnus Chiropractor of The Year in 2015. In addition to chiropractic, he has many hobbies and interests that include music, guitars, The Beatles, hockey, baseball, tennis, and the game of squash. His mission is to learn and educate while giving peace a chance, and he achieves this through community, friendship, world travel and of course, chiropractic.

Dr. Amy Spoelstra

Dr. Amy and her husband David live in Coeur d’Alene with their beautiful daughter Meela. They opened Spoelstra Family Chiropractic in April of 2008 after moving from South Carolina where Dr. Amy graduated cum laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic. Dr. Amy is the founder of the FOCUS program and opened the doors to the program in 2011 in the Coeur d’ Alene office. She now teaches chiropractors, educators and other medical professionals around the country and internationally about Neuro-Deflective Disorders ™ and the FOCUS approach to comprehensive patient care for children and adults with behavioral, learning, socialization and developmental challenges. She is the founder of the Brain Blossom Program ™ and FOCUS Academy ™ for continued education for certified FOCUS practitioners.

Dr. Amy and her family love to travel and experience new cultures! Her favorite things are exploring new places with her family, learning about different cultures and people, yoga, a good cup of coffee and to study….seriously….she loves to study!

Dr. Amy has extensive post-doctoral training in pediatric chiropractic and has contributed to the Practice-Based Research Network with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has developed a research branch of the FOCUS Academy and has published research on the topics of chiropractic and its impact on development.
