A Morning of Insight and Impact with Dr Julia Baird

Adelaide’s Biggest High Tea – supporting Cancer Council SA

For over 30 years, South Australians have been raising millions for Cancer Council SA through Australia's Biggest Morning Tea. This year, we're taking things up a notch with a luxurious High Tea experience at iconic Adelaide Oval!

Indulge in a delectable selection of sweet and savory treats and refreshments, all while listening to the captivating insights of our incredible keynote speaker, Dr Julia Baird.*

About Dr Julia Baird

Best-selling author of Phosphorescence and Bright Shining and Walkley Award winning journalist Dr Julia Baird is a household name in Australia, gracing our screens as ABC’s host of The Drum. Her insightful writing and commentary on social and political issues will provide a stimulating and engaging backdrop to this special morning. Like so many Australians, Julia is a cancer survivor herself. In 2015 Julia was diagnosed and she has since had treatments and surgery which led to long stints in hospital. The people she encountered through her cancer journey have inspired and bolstered her, and she has a deep connection to the Cancer Council cause.

Event also featuring:

  • This special event will also feature an incredible panel of business leaders who will share their learnings on leading teams through adversity with compassion.
  • We will also have a range of raffles and a silent auction with all proceeds going towards Cancer Council SA’s services right here in South Australia! Show your support by coming along to this special event.

By attending this event, you're not just enjoying a delicious high tea, amazing networking opportunities and stimulating discussions – you're making a real difference in the lives of South Australians impacted by cancer. Staggeringly, by the age 85 around 1 in 2 people will receive a cancer diagnosis. Your support can mean no South Australian goes through their diagnosis alone.

Cancer Council SA has been supporting South Australians impacted by cancer for over 90 years. We are proud to be the state’s longest running and largest cancer charity, and the only organisation in South Australia that works across every aspect of every cancer.

Here in South Australia, every day, we support families impacted by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.
