Hear from the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training on regional initiatives for training and businesses.

Come along on Thursday, 20 June where we'll be joined by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training's Principal Program Officers, Krystal King and Kay Butcher.

Together, they'll discuss the latest initiatives for training and businesses in Far North Queensland, including:

  • The new Skills Strategy and improvements to vocational training
  • AASS contracts commencing from 1 July 2024
  • Support for apprenticeships, and
  • The latest grants for small businesses and employment incentives.

You'll also have the opportunity to meet apprenticeship specialists and learn more about how they can support your business through training.
