OverviewThere have been significant changes in employment laws through the Labor Government’s ongoing Industrial reform (IR), including the recently passed Closing Loopholes Bill.
In addition to the Same Job, Same Pay changes, there is now a right for employees to disconnect from work. Amongst other changes are strengthened powers for unions to enter a workplace without notice and changes to enterprise agreement bargaining that will create an unfair playing field for employers, changes to casual employment and changes that will impact on the road transport industry and related supply chains.
