This seminar on Brain Care in NICU will provide information on how Westmead Hospital NICU uses evidence-based care to prevent brain injury and promote brain development for babies, including our current research projects.

- Infant brain development - Threats to brain development and influences on developmental outcome
- Neuro-assessment - MRI, cranial ultrasound, General Movements Assessment
- Neuro-Monitoring - Near Infrared Spectrometry, aEEG
- Antenatal neuroprotection - Antenatal steroids, delayed cord clamping
- Perinatal neuroprotection - Golden hour and ePREM guideline, therapeutic hypothermia, preventing illness

If less than three weeks’ notice - a fee of $30.00 will be charged.
