Earlier this year, the legends at Community Bank Alice Springs awarded us a Community Grant to bring some messy fun to your lives! Messy Bub Playgroup will kick off on Wednesday May 15 at 10am at Playgroup NT Alice Springs, 3 Echunpa Street and will be on every Wednesday during Term 2.
Expect mess, fun and stimulated little brains! The benefits of messy play are well known (it helps kids learn to play independently, increase attention span, provide opportunities to problem solve, build self-confidence and self-esteem etc, etc) so let's play....MESSY! Your facilitator, the lovely Tahlia from Made By Creative Space will host you and help you navigate the fun.
Parents and carers will need to REGISTER for free with NT Playgroup. You only need to register once, even if you plan on attending more than one playgroup. To register head here: https://playgroupnt.com.au/become-a-member/
Fill out all the usual info. Once you get to 'Membership Category', scroll down and select 'Supported Membership'. The list of supported playgroups comes up so scroll down and select 'Messy Bubs Playgroup Alice Springs'. Then a few more questions, tick the box to show you're not a robot then Submit! You will then receive a confirmation email in the days leading up to the playgroup with your membership details. We will be checking registration at EVERY playgroup. This is an important insurance compliance matter so please make sure to register BEFORE the playgroup.
All welcome, best suited to the littles ones who can sit up at a minimum. Obviously, bring along a change of clothes, an art smock, anything suitable to make sure the car seat survives the trip home. And we will say it again, but EXPECT bub to get messy, a bit damp, with coloured rice or pasta stuck in their hair maybe.
