Welcome to the Bird Walk and Talk at Bordertown Wetlands!

Come join us on Sun Jul 28, 2024 at 4:00 PM for a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Bordertown Wetlands as we search for and learn about the various bird species that call this area home.

Our knowledgeable guide, Prof. Hugh Possingham will lead you on an informative tour, pointing out different bird species and sharing interesting facts about their behaviors and habitats. Standardised survey methods, including the 20 min, 2 ha search, will also be covered. Whether you're a seasoned birdwatcher or just curious about the local wildlife, this event is perfect for nature lovers of all levels.

Participants should bring binoculars, insect repellent, long pants, long sleeve shirt, water, snacks, closed-toe shoes. We hope to see you there!
