SOILCO ‘The Life-Giving Soil Company’ will be hosting a behind the scenes tour of its Kembla Grange Compost Manufacturing Facility on Saturday 11 May.

SOILCO is a local, family-founded business that harnesses the power of people and technology to recycle Wollongong's FOGO. For more than 40 years, SOILCO has proudly manufactured soil and compost products that generate and give life to soil.
This is your chance to visit a technologically advanced in-vessel composting facility and to follow the journey your FOGO takes after it has been collected from your home.
Every attendee will receive their own bag of compost to take home and place in their garden. Reducing waste to landfill and supporting the circular economy are great reasons to recycle FOGO weekly. “Every little bit of FOGO helps!”

*Attendees must be 15 years of age or older and be residents of the Wollongong City Council Local Government Area. ID will be required. Maximum two per household. Attendees will need to wear enclosed footwear and long pants to attend this tour.
