About this event

Circular Economy is a bone fide buzz word. And for good reason.

Once effectively put into practice, a circular economy model of production and consumption improves efficiencies, reduces waste and energy usage, and advances a business’ reputation within their industry, all while saving them money.

A recent survey showed that 88 per cent of business leaders agree that circular economy will be an important aspect in their business’ future, but many didn’t know how to apply the principles to their business to.

Thorugh this training program, beginning on 9 May, local business leaders can join experts from Federation University for a series of four circular economy workshops and discover just how they can leverage its benefits for their unique manufacturing or construction business.

In addition each business will be allocated an expert who will provide one-to-one support in selecting and implementing a Circular Economy process into the business

The four sessions will be held at Federation University in Berwick and will cover:

  1. An introduction to Circular Economy and self-assessment
  2. Embedding Circular Economy
  3. Implementation and measurements for success
  4. Collaboration for growth

Date of first session: 7.30 am sessions on Thursday, 9 May 2024
Venue: Federation University Berwick Campus

The dates of the other sessions are 16 May, 30 May and 20 June, all at 7.30am.

All this for less than $200.

For more information about the sessions, contact Tom Zsolt from the City of Casey’s Economic Development Team at tzsolt@casey.vic.gov.au or on 9705 5189.
