Autumn workshops are a series of creative workshops
inspired by the environment that surrounds
Lost Eden Farm Studio, perched in the beautiful Darling Ranges
and Jarrah forests of Dwellingup, just a short drive south east of Perth.
Leading Western Australian artists will guide and inspire you.
Spend a day in a wonderfully creative environment, develop your skills
and connect with fellow artists and learn from the best in their fields.
Explore the wonders of ecoprint for cellulose and protein fabrics
without the use of powdered mordants.
Would you like to live creatively while being mindful of your impact
on the environment? Join textile and visual artist
Annette Wiguna, as she takes you on a journey of botanical printing
(aka ecoprint) by using all natural substances that are affordable
and easily accessible from your pantry.
In this All Natural Ecoprint workshop, the focus will be on
making soy milk binder, rust water, vinegar soak,
and tannin baths without the use of powdered metallic salts.
You will be provided with fabric samples of various compositions
and a handout. The skills that you will learn in this workshop
will enable you to revive old and stained garments,
extend the life of expired pantry goods, and foster appreciation for
the local native plants near you.
