Barbara McCarthy was once a retired nurse and midwife, and spent her retirement volunteering in the community.

In her late seventies she joined a writing class, and her writing took on a life of its own. She has since written and published three books.

Join Barbara as she talks about her two latest fictional biographies with medical and nursing themes.
Barbara will also discuss her experience as a ghost-writer with her third published book 'Waiting for Sunshine…One Day at a Time'. Barbara collaborated with Dave, a man of eighty-five who has never been able to read or write which has been a whole other adventure.
