About this event

Gone is author Glenna Thomson’s first foray in the mystery genre, following on from her books Stella and Margie and Blueberry. Set in the highlands of rural Victoria where Glenna and her husband spent 20 years working their cattle farm, Glenna’s time in the country has given her an authentic voice in rural crime.

Gone explores the unravelling of a family in the aftermath of a tragic crime, following the forty-year journey to discover the truth about a missing girl and what happened to her.

When Rebecca fails to return home after her last day of school in 1984, she is reported missing. After police follow leads fuelled by rumours, a shocking murder-suicide on a nearby farm diverts their attention and her disappearance becomes a cold case.

Forty years later, her sister Eliza has never forgotten and is now ready to share the secrets she once kept to find answers

Come along and meet Glenna Thomson chat about her writing journey into the crime and thriller genre, and the inspiration behind her vivid and compelling rural crime story.
