About this event

This training is suitable for childcare, crèche, OSHC and preschool staff and volunteers, and will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to manage asthma, including asthma first aid and the implementation of asthma management procedures within the children’s service environment. Placebo puffers and spacers* will be provided to allow participants an opportunity to have hands on practice of asthma first aid.

* A reply paid envelope will be provided to return placebo puffers and spacers upon conclusion of the training. Equipment must be returned to receive ACECQA Approved Certificate

ACECQA Accreditation

This virtual training is approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and is delivered by qualified paediatric clinical nurse consultants who have extensive knowledge in the health and safety requirements of the children’s services sector. ACECQA recommend emergency asthma management should be renewed every three years and this course can be found on the NQF approved qualification list.

Upon completion of the training and return of placebo puffer and spacers, participants will receive an ACECQA Approved Certificate, valid for 2 years.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations requested up to 10 business days prior to training date/s will be refunded 100% of registration costs. No refunds will be issued for cancellations requested less than 10 business days out from training date/s, however a registration transfer to a later training date (within a 6 month period) will be offered.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure that our training takes place as scheduled, we reserve the right to cancel courses due to any unforeseen circumstances. In this case participants will be notified as soon as practicable via their provided contact details, and a registration transfer to a later training date date or a full refund will be offered.
