About this event

This NESA-accredited course is the next in a series of workshops on programming the new NSW K10 Modern Languages syllabus. Having explored the compatability of the new syllabus content to task-based teaching and learning, attention now turns to how tasks can be effectively assessed.

Participants are walked through the entire assessment process from start to finish, and learn how to break down, target and measure components of a task using the latest in assessment theory and rubric design.

This course is available to teachers of all languages, from all sectors. Samples and related resources are supplied.

There is ample free parking on site, and morning tea and lunch are provided.

Completing Assessment and task design in Languages will contribute 3 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and assessment of NSW Curriculum/Early Years Learning Framework addressing Standard Descriptor 5.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher in NSW.
