The Arabana Camp is for Arabana people to visit wadlhu (country) and spend time with wathili (family).

There will be activities each day led by Arabana, including:

  • wangka Arabana yanhirda (speak Arabana language)
  • Make a wadni (song)
  • Kaparnda - do carving and woodworking
  • Malka marnda - do some painting (for a t-shirt design!)
  • Wadlunga - take a trip to Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre)
  • Makanga thangkarda - sit at the fire

What AAC is providing:

  • contribution to your tansport costs (information provided closer to time of camp)
  • breakfast Sunday 7/7, Monday 8/7, Tuesday 9/7
  • dinner Saturday 6/7, Sunday 7/7, Monday 8/7

What you will need:

  • camping equipment for yourself and your family
  • lunch for you and your family for each day
  • snacks for you and your family to enjoy while out at Finniss Springs Station
  • warm clothes

To attend:

AAC needs to know if you want to come so we can help with transport and buy enough food.

If you want to attend the Camp, please get a free ticket on Eventbrite using the 'Reserve a spot' button on this page. When you book via Eventbrite, please get a ticket for everyone who will be attending with you, like children, parents, spouses etc., by using the + button to add more tickets. I will then contact the person who made the booking to provide additonal details and discuss requirements for fuel etc.
